The Start of a LimeCrime Lipstick Addiction

dsc3088.jpg

The first time I ever heard of LimeCrime lipstick was when I was looking at photos of Raquel Reed on my computer. I loved her bright colorful look and especially a signature hot pink lip she always had. I did some digging and found out that her favorite hot pink lipstick was from LimeCrime in the color "Countessa Fluorescent". So I immediately looked up the website and ordered it! It was the start of a longterm relationship with LimeCrime. Along with "Countessa Fluorescent" I also ordered the color "Great Pink Planet"  which is a soft pink. I loved them both! I have to admit that I have been neglecting them for quite a while but with the recent release of "Babette" on July 15th my  craving was back! Here is the start of my LimeCrime addiction. Image

Coquette, Babette, Great Pink Planet, Countessa Fluorescent, Geradium

Image

These are extremely opaque but can easily be toned down by blotting with tissue. "Coquette" is the perfect peachy nude shade that makes my lips look like I'm pouting. I had to do a double take when looking through my photos.

Image

I absolutely adore this color! "Babette" is a beautiful peach with pink undertones. This is a great alternative to the usual soft pink shades that I usually gravitate to. Another perk is that this color also makes my lips look really plump and full.

Image

"Great Pink Planet" is a powdery pink with lavender undertones. This is full on straight from the tube but I usually wear this with a lighter hand. This color also has a hint of neon so it definitely pops!

Image

Here is the color that started it all "Contessa Fluorescent." It is a vibrant neon hot pink, if you want to make a statement get this color. This color definitely lights up your face with a pop of color.

Image

"Geradium" is a gorgeous color that I have never come across until now. I love the subtle brightness it has. I get that pop without being to over the top. I have to say that I'm loving all of my LimeCrime lipsticks very much, and can't wait to add more to my collection. From the cute lavender and sparkly silver unicorn  packaging to the unique color choices. You can purchase these great lipsticks and more on LimeCrimeMakeup.com ($15.99) Next on my LimeCrime wish list are "Cosmopop" "Airbourne Unicorn" "D'Lilac" and "Chinchilla" What are some of your favorite LimeCrime colors? Let me know in the comments below.

My Top 5 Favorite Sonia Kashuk Blushes

dsc3055.jpg

Sonia Kashuk blushes are among some of the best I have tried. She offers a ray of beautiful colors form soft peaches and nudes to vibrant hot pinks. Within her collection you will find mattes, shimmers, and creams there is definitely something for everyone. I love them all but if I had to narrow it down to only 5, here is what they would be.

Image

Glow, Glisten, Flushed, Sunset, Petal

Here is one of the latest products form Sonia Kashuk. Sonia launched her new "Chic Luminosity Bronzer/Blush Duo" ($12.99) this Spring as part of her Spring Collection for Target. I was very excited to pick these up for the shimmer finish. Up until Spring Sonia had matte or cream blush finishes. I have to say I'm loving the new packaging and formulas. This color is so soft and subtle perfect for everyday or night! The formula can easily be built up to the intensity that you want. I also absolutely adore the color, soft light peach with pink undertones.

Image

"Glisten" will give a very natural looking flush. I love to wear this color for days that I'm running out the door and want to give my skin that instant pick me up. What I also love about these new blush and bronzer duos is that the formula is long lasting, up to 12 hours! Also you have the perk of having an amazing bronzer to go along with your favorite blush.

Image

If you like pops of color then "flushed" ($8.99) is the color for you! I know it may look intense in the pan but it's actually very wearable once applied. This blush is a matte formula and it very easy to build up to the intensity you desire. You can be as subtle or bold as you desire. This color is youth in a pan, it gives you that rosy cheek that children get from playing in the yard.

For the days you want to look more chic "sunset" ($8.99) is a great alternative to pink. I love to mix it up once in a while. I adore this color! It gives your skin warmth and color at the same time. This is also a matte formula, which gives you more control on where you want to place your highlight. It's always great to have different types of finishes to give you a broader range of looks you can create.

Image

Last but not least is "Petal" ($9.89) a cream blush. This color is absolutely perfect! I love the natural flush it gives me. I love Sonia's formula, the cream feels light weight and velvety. I have tried cream blushes in the past that were very thick and sticky which made them very difficult to blend. This are easy to pop on with your fingers and build. I love how easy they are to use and can cut down the time it takes you to get ready in the morning. Great for all you busy ladies on the go! Let me know in the comments below which Sonia Kashuk blushes are your favorite! I would love to hear them!

Blushing, Sunkissed, Pink Punch, Red Orange, Plum Wine

Image

Blushing is the perfect everyday pink. I love to wear this to give my lips a hint of color but still look really soft and romantic. It is effortless and pairs well with simple or dramatic eye looks. You can easily transition this lip from day to night.

Image

Sunkissed is a great pick me up cheerful color perfect for Spring and Summer. It is a great coral color with pink undertones which is a personal favorite of mine. I love when you can tell if it's a pink or coral. It brightens up the face without being to bold or dramatic.

Image

If you love pink lips then you need to pick up Pink Punch. This is a soft hot pink that is vibrant and plumping. The formula of these lipsticks give your lips that extra juicy look. I love this color when I'm feeling more playful and want that nice pop of color.

Image

Red Orange is beautiful alternative to the classic fire engine red. It still gives you that classic look with a modern twist. You can easily pull off this gorgeous lip from day to night.

Image

Plum Wine is definitely not for the timid. I love this color the Fall or evening looks. You will stand out in the crowd with this one, but in a good way of course. This color makes a statement and with the right outfit you can look like you walked straight off the runway. This lip is for those days when I'm feeling wild and adventurous. Let me know in the comments below which color is your favorite. I'd love to hear all yours too.
