Are you a warm eyeshadow junkie? If you are, don't feel bad, so am I! The first time I saw this palette, I thought I have to have it! I'm totally happy with my purchase of yet another warm, buttery, yummy palette. This Juvia's Place Nubian Palette is a dream and I can't stop reaching for it. The price at only $23.50 (really!?) and the pay off are so right! Here are a few shots of the palette and the amazing swatches.
If you couldn't tell from the swatches, the eyeshadows have great pigmentation. The formula felt very smooth and buttery which I really love. The eyeshadows apply smoothly on the lid and are very easy to blend. I absolutely love this palette! The colors are versatile enough to create a day or evening look. You have your mattes, satins, and shimmers; so you have a good verity of textures as well. Now lets talk about the packaging shall we. Take a look at these photos.
The palette is made out of sturdy cardboard with a magnetic flap. I love when these types of palette incorporate a magnet to ensure that they stay closed. Oooh! Lord knows we wouldn't want it to accidentally open and get ruined. It is very thin and doesn't take up much space in my makeup collection. I was definitely surprised by the size of the palette. I don't know why, but when I saw pictures of it online I thought it was the size of a mouse pad. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was only a bit larger than my iPhone. I think this packaging is great! I have no complaints. I'm sure some people would argue that it is missing a mirror but I personally never use the mirror that comes in the palette. I have a specific mirror that I like to use while I get ready so for me it's not a deal breaker. Plus, when the palette comes with a mirror it is usually more expensive.
