Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection

Every times Sonia Kashuk comes out with a new collection I get so anxious for it to hit stores, and this year it was no different. If you follow Sonia Kashuk on instagram then you would know that she always post some sneak peaks of the collection about a month before it comes out and I can't help but be glued to my phone waiting for the updates. I've always been so satisfied with all my Sonia Kashuk purchases that I can't help but want more, and I was pleasantly surprised to see some completely new products added to the line. I picked up a few things and have played with them for quite a while now and these are some of my thoughts.

Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection - Island Dreams and Prima Ballerina Eye Quad

Eye Quad: Island Dreams and Prima Ballerina

I love the colors that come in the Island Dreams palette! It reminds me of the ocean at nighttime. Prima Ballerina reminded me of the Naked 3 palette with beautiful pink and purple shadows. I wanted this to create more feminine, flirty, romantic looks. The eyeshadows are very pigmented, creamy, and easy to blend. The only down side to these is that you do get a lot of fall out, so I would suggest doing your eye makeup first before applying foundation. It's an easy fix =)

Here are the looks I came up with using these palettes. Here you can see the color payoff and how easily they blend.

Here are the swatches for each palette and keep in mind this is without using an eyeshadow primer.

Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection - Satin Luxe Lip Colour (Parisian Pink, Pink Buff, Very Berry)

Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection - Satin Luxe Lip Colour (Parisian Pink, Pink Buff, Very Berry)

Satin Luxe Lip Colour SPF 16 (Swatches): Parisian Pink, Pink Buff, Very Berry

I have nothing bad to say about these lipsticks other than the fact that I prefer a more matte like finish. Other than that, they are pigmented, creamy, and very hydrating to the lips. Plus as an extra bonus they have SPF in them. Out of the three my favorite in Parisian Pink. I was really looking forward to trying out Pink Buff since nudes are my favorite but it was a little to brown for me. I actually started wearing it with a little bit of "Myth" by Mac to make it a touch lighter.

Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection - Velvety Matte Lip Crayon (Candy Nude, Coraly Nude)

Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection - Velvety Matte Lip Crayon (Candy Nude, Coraly Nude)

Velvety Matte Lip Crayon (Swatches): Candy Nude, Coraly Nude

I absolutely love these!!! They feel so amazing on the lips and really do feel like velvet. I love the finish and even though they have more of a matte finish they don't dry out my lips. They are really pigmented and bright which is why I'm a little confused as to why they have the word "NUDE" in the name. None the less they are very beautiful colors and I would really recommend you at least try one to feel the great formula.

Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection - Pearlescence Longwear Creme (Moonstone, Quartz)

Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection - Pearlescence Longer Creme (Moonstone, Quartz)

Pearlescence Longwear Creme: Moonstone, Quartz

I was really looking forward to trying these because it's a new product but I have to admit that I was a little disappointed with these. I love the way the colors and formula look in the tube but when I applied to my lid and blended it out the color was so sheer and hardly visible. To me, it's just made my lids look wet. I was hoping for something more pigmented and metallic. There are two other shades that I won't be picking up. I started to use these as shadow bases so that it isn't a complete loss.

Once the color has been blended out it becomes very sheer and subtle. I like more pigmentation, as you can see from the swatches the colors are not very different once blended.

Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection - Dewy Luxe Lip & Cheek Balm (Charmed), Liquid Light Concealer (Halo), Liquid Line Precision Marker, Chic Luminosity Glow Powder

Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 Collection - Dewy Luxe Lip & Cheek Balm (Charmed), Liquid Light Concealer (Halo), Liquid Line Precision Marker, Chic Luminosity Glow Powder

These are four totally NEW products to the line! I was super excited for these. The first thing on the list is this beautiful Dewy Luxe Lip & Cheek Balm in Charmed. I'm usually not on to gravitate towards cheek stains or balms but since it was Sonia Kashuk I had to give it a try and I'm happy to report that I wasn't disappointed. It comes in a twist off bottle that looks like a nail polish similar to Benefits Bene-tint. I absolutely love this color! I like to apply it on the apples of my cheek and with my finger dab it  along my cheeks to blend. It goes on sheer but you can build to your desired intensity. It's nice and creamy and not sticky. It gives me life! It also looks really pretty on lips a really soft peach. These double duty products are awesome for girls on the go. Next on the list is the new Liquid Light Concealer in Halo. This concealer is super lightweight but also very pigmented. I love how it melts in to my skin and blends so well. I find that I like this more for the days I want to look more natural and fresh faced as appose to my more glammed up looks. I works great at hiding my under eye freckles and discoloration. It nice and creamy and very minimal creasing and long lasting. Two Thumbs Up for this concealer. This next item is probably my favorite from the collection because I'm all about my winged liner. The new Liquid Line Precision Marker is a dream! It is very black, inky, and  doesn't have that wet look once it dries. It has a felt tip applicator that makes it super easy to get into the corners of your eyes with ease. I find that I have so much control with this eyeliner which makes it really easy for me to create a nice crisp wing. It has replaced my old favorite Super Slim Eyeliner from L'Oreal. I always say if you enjoy the L'Oreal eyeliner then you will LOVE the Sonia Kashuk one. I'm so sad to say that the next item was such a disappointment for me. I wanted to love this product so much but I just can't see any difference when I use it. I'm talking about the new Chic Luminosity Glow Powder. Everything about this product is beautiful the packaging, the formula, and the texture but when I use it to set my foundation/concealer, I don't see the glow it is suppose to give you. I tried it several times and in different ways but can't figure it out. At first I thought this was a highlighting powder but quickly realized that it was more of a setting powder since I didn't see any shine once I applied it. I really don't see any difference which makes this a no go for me. If any of you have tried this product and have had better results please let me know how you used it. I would love to try anything because It is so beautiful and like I said I want to love it...lol
