Review & Swatches (Sonia Kashuk 2015 Spring Collection)

My favorite Season is quickly approaching. The days are getting longer, warmer, and even the birds are excitedly chirping outside my windows. I can't help but wonder what my favorite drugstore brand will release this year. As I sit at my computer with my eyes wide open, I'm in complete awe of how gorgeous everything looks. Not only is the website beautifully laid out with videos, pictures, and audio; the collection itself is bright, eye-catching, and fun! Of course I'm talking about the new Sonia Kashuk Spring Collection for Target. Once I got over my initial excitement I quickly made a list of the products I couldn't wait to try. Over the next couple of days I went from Target to Target, determined to check everything off my list. Once everything was checked off the real fun began.

I'm so happy to report that the formula for these eyeshadows has been greatly improved from last year's version. These are highly pigmented, creamy, and easy to blend. I know that I will get a lot of use from this palette because there is a great variety of warm/cool, shimmer/matte, and Light/Dark shades all in this one palette. It is great for travel; You can toss this in your purse and you can touch up all day. My favorite color from this palette is that gorgeous matte chocolate brown, it is the perfect shade. I definitely think that the Sahara Sunset Eye Shadow Palette in Desert Escape is one of the best to come out of the Sonia Kashuk Line.

Here I swatched the colors individually and the one on the far right is a mixture of all of them. I absolutely love this palette. I personally think it looks great on its own like a shimmering blush. It is very pigmented and applied with a duo fiber brush gives the most beautifully radiant flush on the cheeks. The shimmer is not so frosty that it will make you look like a disco ball or as if you are very shiny and sweaty. It's very subtle and natural that it can be applied to the apples of your cheek without drawing so much attention, well maybe only the good type of attention. It makes me look like I have that glowing from within look, kind of like the pregnancy glow but without the baby.

I'm absolutely in love with the Casablanca Blush, Sonia always knows how to create a color that gives you life perfectly packed in a pan. It is the perfect pink, corally, salmon color. The texture is so smooth and pigmented that it takes little effort to blend it. One of my favorite purchases is the Sahara Sunset Bronzing Blush Stick. I use it like a contour stick, a little in the hollows of my cheeks, along the hair line, bottom of nose and chin. I love how it warms up my skin and gives me some slight definition that looks natural and glowing. The product is not as pigmented as the Sonia Kashuk Contour Stick (Also a favorite) so its really easy to blend and practically fool proof. The Sahara Sunset Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colour is just as great as the rest of its family. The formula is rich and buttery and very moisturizing. Overall the Limited Edition Collection is absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't be happier with all my goodies. This next product is not part of the Limited Edition Collection but it was the product I was most excited about. It is so hard to find a really good drugstore highlighter and I couldn't help but wonder if my search would finally be over.

Could you just DIE!!! I mean how gorgeous is this?! You heard it here first, this is the best drugstore highlighter I have ever come across. This is a must have for ever girl that is all about the GLOW. The shade is absolute perfection. When I applied it to the top of my cheek bones it's like the clouds parted and all the angles sang. OK, OK, I know I'm being very dramatic but I'm telling you this is phenomenal. I could definitely see this on a bride, it's so beautiful. It's not frosty or overly sparkly that it will look like a streak of light on your cheek. I also like that the color will look great on every skin tone. This is a duo palette and I have used the bronzer and it is also great, but I wish that this only came with the highlighter because it's that good. I'm very happy with everything I picked up and can't wait to visit my local target for some more Sonia Kashuk goodies.
