Lately I have been obsessed with red tone eyeshadows, so when Kylie featured The Burgundy Pallet ($42.00) on snapchat I was thrilled! It's like she read my mind. Of course being the beauty junkie that I am, I bought it the second it was launched. I have to say that I'm so happy I snagged this palette. It is a one way ticket to the perfect sultry look. The packaging and the palette itself are 5 stars in my book.
I think all the colors are great and are perfectly coordinated for creating a burgundy look. I do have to mention that one particular color in the palette has been getting a lot of shade. Not a lot of beauty influencers like the color NAKED. It would be the only nude eyeshadow in the palette. It seems as though people are disappointed that it is not a high shine metallic highlight shade. I actually like that it is more of a satin. I feel that it's not always best to have something so shimmery on the brow bone. I like that it is subtle and it is also great for blending purposes.
This is the first palette I purchase from Kylie Cosmetics. Based off of the reviews I have read of her first palette (The Bronze Palette) it wasn't so great. I was hesitant to get this palette but decided to get it anyway because of the beautiful colors. I have to say that the eyeshadows are really buttery and pigmented. I use them almost everyday and they blend very easily. It seems as though Kylie has improved the formula because everyone is raving about how much of an improvement this palette is from the last one.
I don't know why but I always think palettes are going to be a lot bigger in person. When I opened up the box I was shocked at how small the palette is. It's actually really cute! This palette does not come with a mirror but Kylie has mentioned on her snap that future palette will include a mirror. Here is the look I created using this palette and I absolutely love it! I think this look is perfect for the Holidays or a romantic evening out.
